200 Block of Stephen Avenue Walk

This noon time event will launch Stylocity- the six day showcase of all things fashionable in downtown Calgary. The Going out Downtown fashion show will feature new fall men's and women's fashions that will elegantly take anyone from the boardroom to cocktails complete with suggestions on the hottest places to be seen. This outdoor runway event will take place on the Stephen Avenue Walk and will star local model Nikita who was second runner-up on this season's Canada's Next Top Model.

No Limits / Parkour Demo
Eau Claire Market

No Limits will collaborate with One Circle Dance and Capoeira Ache Brasil to put on a triple threat athletic performance including a parkour and freerun demonstration for audiences at Eau Claire Market. The performance will consist of several short routines that will see performers climb and vault through the outdoor walk way and thrill onlookers with some high-flying scaffolding work.

Beat Niq will be holding a "Gala Event Week" September 9-12, 2009 to raise funds to continue to provide live jazz in our city.

This non jazz event is hosted by Steve Pineo, Tom Phillips. the Men of Constant Sorrow and the Plaid Tongue Devils.

"Quite often there is an emotional detach from those living in Canada and those living in extreme poverty. I think it's because we don't know how to help - other than possibly sponsoring a child through a relief organization. canadian artists for the poor is an innovative way to help those living in extreme poverty. canadian artists - painters, sculptures and photographers donate an item of their works, we put on the event inviting the public to meet the local artists and bid on their art pieces."
It's a win-win situation. The artists get more exposure; the attendees have an enjoyable afternoon and take home a beautiful art piece - often an original; canadian artists for the poor is able to raise money for individuals living in hopeless conditions - partnering with non-profits working at the ground level.
