Calgary's fast and efficient public transit system makes it easy to reach Downtown from any corner of the city.

The popular Light Rail Transit or LRT is also referred to as the ‘C-Train.' It operates on two lines heading north out of Downtown and one heading south. Ride for free in the ‘free fare zone' - the area where all trains traverse the Downtown core between 1 St SE and 10 St SW along 7 Ave.

Single or multiple tickets can be purchased at agents throughout the city or at C-Train stations. At stations where there are no agents, exact coin change is required. Be sure to purchase your ticket before travelling anywhere outside the free fare zone!
