Alternate Transportation
NEW Late Night Ride Home Stand
The City of Calgary and its partners will formally announce the first phase of a Late Night Transportation pilot project. Twelve late night taxi stands are being installed in the core as part of The City’s commitment to further support late night transportation. These stands will create an additional 50+ late night queuing spots for taxis. Each stand is located in close proximity to entertainment establishments and restaurants. It is believed that when people have easy access to a ride home there will be increased safety for patrons and decreased social disorder in the surrounding community.
